What a fun day to get up early and head to the old river bed and set up the easel in the morning haze and start to paint.  The goal in painting outdoors is to stay true to what you first saw.  The light is always changing.  You goal as an artist is not to chase the light.

The days of summer are warm so we can all get outside and enjoy the fun activities.  One of the main things that thrills my heart is the beautiful flowers blooming and all the yummy produce that grows.  This painting includes the things of summer with the yellow rose being the Queen.
