These glorious sunflowers where growing wild along the roadside.  Well by now you know that I cannot resist wild flowers.  After clipping a bucket full of these smiling faces off to the studio to paint.  When the painting was finished the sunflowers just added a Ray of Sunshine to the studio with all their warm color.  May you add a Ray of Sunshine to someone today and may you find your easel friendly.

This sweetness of Savannah and the flowers at the same time was just to much not to want to paint.  I plan to do several Quick Studies before painting the real painting.  In a quick study you have to work on composition, color, value, edges and capturing the moment.

Could not believe that my Sunflowers were almost gone.  Then it dawned on me that their stems could be trimmed way down and we could celebrate their short lives together.  The Tequila bottle was close by along with my Margarita glass so add a little lime and a Sunflower Tequilta Sunrise is born.  May you celebrate someones life today and may you find your easel friendly.

You know the old joke.  What did one Sunflower say to the other.  Let's Stick together.  If you have never worked with fresh Sunflowers their stems are very sticky.  These Sunflowers seem to be sticking together against the other flowers and fruit.  May you have friends in your life that just seem to stick no matter what and may you find your easel friendly.
