BEYOND THE BRIDGE USING MY FINGER AS A BRUSH ON THE I-PAD

THIS was just for fun. Did not have my usual tools with me when wanting to do this landscape drawing. So out came the I-Pad and with my finger and an I-Pad app a quick drawing was done. The new tools that are availabe are just amazing. It was fun and quick way to draw. Completed in about 30 minutes and that was with learning the tools on the app.

Always trying to learn something new and this also gave me new insight on colors and values.

LET ME START OFF BY SAYING MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM US TO YOU!

This has been an exciting year in Tulsa. First record snow storm as soon as we arrived. Next tornado's, record heat, record drought and then the icing on the cake EARTHQUAKES. Ok knows how to roll out the welcome wagon for all the new comers in a big way. I am afraid that folks up here in OK land think we brought it with us. We have been blessed by being near the family and making new friends this year.

Now we are all looking at Savannah to see what the New Year might bring. Is that Sugar Plums dancing in her head or is she thinking what will Santa Bring. These roses were so delicate that if you barely blow on the flower they would just fall apart. Their petals are so fragile that the slightest brush of the flower they start coming undone. When this painting first started it was going to be a rose painting and the only rose that ended up in the painting was a small yellow rose. If you have never painted outside in the elements it is a challenge but so fun. The best day is getting to paint! This day the winds were almost 40mph. So with one hand on the easel and a brush in the other the painter goes on. With sun glaring down and the light ever changing the real fun begins. This was a quick study of the sage plant. Many times you hear about someone being really pretty and they say she is HOT! Well these little pansies are pretty and the pepper is HOT! My darling granddaughter picked this set up for me to paint. We went to the store for the pepper, the yard for the flowers and the barn for the stirupps. Add a little ribbon and it ties it all together. I think she is pretty and hot for helping me out. One of my favorite bowls to paint is this little flow blue Chinese bowl. It was an unexpected treat that I found at the antique store one day. The blues and transparent colors of the china glowed with delight. It became one of my treasure.
