Artist Alive and Well Exhibit

I would like to thank each of you that supported me during my first large exhibit at One Allen Center in Downtown Houston.  It was a great success.  Not only from the stand point of selling some of my art but the fact of meeting so many nice people.  The demo that I did for the lunch was  fun and rewarding.  Hope to see you at future exhibits and again, thank you for your generous support of my art.  Pat

Rose Bowl

This little rose bowl was found when I was out hunting for antiques one day.  The blue design on the bowl called to me.  Have you ever been out shopping and when seeing something you just knew you had to purchase it.   Our want over need comes into play.  Sometimes we just have to add new treasures to our lives and this was one of those.  Hope you enjoy my new blue rose bowl and may you find your easel friendly.  Pat

Sun Drenched

This was a picture that I found and wanted to paint of this young lady.  I could almost feel the sun baking down on her and warming her skin.  She is drenched in sunlight.  She could be walking on the beach, in a wheat field,  waiting tables at  her side walk cafe area in some foreign land.  Can you figure out where she might be and doing and why she is wearing the beautiful red wrap on her hair.  When seeing her it just made me wonder.  Hope you have a beautiful sun drenched day and may you find your easel friendly.  Pat

Pretty In Pink

Pretty In Pink is a cheery little painting.  When looking at it don't you feel cheery?  Most days when trying to think of a painting set up my eye goes to cheery things.  I guess that is just my nature.  Who doesn't want to feel cheery.  What in your life makes you feel that way?  Is it your family, friends or the way the dog acts when you come home like they haven't seen you for years.  Try to do something today that makes you feel cheery and may you find your easel friendly.  Pat

Alicia

Who could resist painting this beautiful big brown eyed little girl.  Her eyes where so expressive that I just had to paint her.  Have you ever met someone that told a story through their eyes.  These eyes told me that Alicia was sweet, lovely and caring.  I wonder what my eyes tell others about me.  They say that your eyes  tell about your soul.  What are your eyes telling someone.  That we care?  That we are loving?  That we are interested in them?  May your eyes express the joy of your soul and may your easel be friendly.  Pat

Blue Bird of Happiness

I have always loved the statement the Blue Bird of Happiness.  When going to the ranch we have hundreds of little blue birds that love to feed on the hay bales.  They fly about doing their daily chores and loving life.  It is so amazing to watch them that it can only make you feel happy.  Next time you see one of these little bright blue creatures busy with their lives take time to let them show you their happiness.  May your day be filled with much happiness and may you find your easel friendly.  Pat

The robins are back and what a joyous day. This means Spring is just around the corner with all of nature springing back to life. When first seeing this little teapot it was only natural to want to put a little blue robin's egg with it. The colors of yellow and blue give you the hope of Spring Eternal. Hope you are enjoying the birds this time of year and may your easel be friendly. Pat

Rose Hips

SOLD

It is time for renewal. When picking these rose hips last year I thought ahead to this spring when I would be planting them. These little pods of seeds represent new life for the rose. I will plant them in some fertile soil in the yard in the hope of getting a new beautiful flowering bush. Sometimes I feel like this little rose pod ready to be planted and watch what grows from my planting. Hopefully I will produce good things in life such as love, joy, and happiness to others. What would your planting produce? May you produce much happiness in your life and may you find your easel friendly.
