Longing For Spring

SOLD

Well it is the middle of winter and some of us are longing for Spring to arrive. During this cold and wintery time of year we long for the beauty of the Spring Flowers to bloom. Spring is my favorite time of year when the earth gives each hope for renewal with all it's new birth of plants. The cold winter winds, snow and dark days are the time to slow down and rest. We spend time indoors with our family and friends enjoying our time together. While you are waiting on the rebirth of Spring and wishing for warm sunny days take time to enjoy the day that God has given us today. May you find yourself renewing life during these winter days and may you find your easel friendly. Pat

Thoughts

Do you ever find yourself in such deep thought you are in another time and place.  You might be thinking of family, friends, to do list, or fond memories of days pasted.  Many times I ask people what they think of when they take a mental break from life.  The usual answer is a trip they have taken.  They take themselves back to the sight, sounds, smells and location of that wonderful experience.  I have been told that these mental breaks refresh the soul.  In this painting I wonder what thoughts she must have had.  Hopefully she was thinking of a wonderful time in her life.  Take time today to take that mental refreshing soul break.  May your thoughts bring you joy and happiness and may you find your easel friendly.  Pat

My Little Black Vase

This was a friends little black pitcher used in this painting.  Aren't friends just the best.  They loan us things when we are in need.  I thought using the red flowers to represent the love for our friends and the pear as they are the fruit of our life.  Without good friends our life would be lonely.  We enjoy sharing our lives with great friends to laugh and cry with and in good times and bad.  I heard in a sermon once that you have many acquaintance and only about 10 great friends in life and you should hold on tight to those 10.  Don't forget to tell your friends that they are special in your life and may you find your easel friendly.  Pat

Cowboy Mike

SOLD

Let me introduce Cowboy Mike. He was painted on location in Texas. He was a rugged soul that just came in from the farm to let us paint him. He knocked a little trail dust off the hat and sat back to relax for a while. I could only imagine what he thought of us wanting to paint his weathered face. You could tell that he had seen allot of farm life from his heavy Texas draw and causal relaxed manners. I loved painting him because his face told a story of life. May you find your easel friendly.
