Backyard View

Sometimes I feel like Dorothy from the Wizard Of OZ. Happiness is right in your own back yard. I am always wanting to find some neat place to paint but on this day the flowers and trees where blooming out back. All I had to do is look out the back window and there was a painting. Happiness found right there along with a painting. May you find happiness in your own backyard and may you find your easel friendly.

Cabbage Rose

Do you ever wonder why they call this type of rose a cabbage rose? Is it because it has multiple leaves and petals? A head of cabbage is wound tight with many layers in it. The rose has many layers for us to smell, discover and enjoy it's beauty. It reminds me of most of my friends with many layers to their personalities and as I get to know them more I discover their inner beauty.
