This beautiful rose captured my eye when I was on location at the Antique Rose Emporium in Bryan, Texas. It was the end of the rose season and there it was calling my name. With it's beautiful pale pink color and ruffled look. It smelled like the wonderful scents that we always remembered roses should smell like. Christmas Deer Food

We live on acreage and have about 30 deer that come through the yard daily. We enjoy watching the Does and babies as they play in the back yard and they wait to see if I have placed any food in the feeders for them. This time of year the trees and bushes are full of all kinds of berries. Not only does it provide food for all our furry friends but looks like God has decorated our trees and bushes for Christmas. Could not resist putting these berries in a small painting. I placed one of our tree ornaments along with mother natures tree ornaments for this 6 x 8 painting. May you find your easel friendly. Pat

Deck The Halls

It's that time of year again. We start getting out all the beautiful holiday decorations. That was the inspiration for this painting. (16 x 20) One of my favorite things over the years is decorating for Christmas. As I take out each ornament and place it on the tree it brings back fond memories of the person that gave me the ornament. A sentimental journey. The ornaments bring sparkle and joy in our lives but also memories of each year we have placed them on our trees. Do you have a favorite ornament that makes your heart sing? I hope so ! Neighbors House

This little cottage was painted in Old Town Spring Texas in a workshop with Judy Crowe.  The wonderful colors just encouraged me to want to paint it.  It reminded me of houses that use to line the streets of my Grandmother's street.  Houses built in another era with all the charm that makes us want to call the space home.  It could have very well been the neighbors house next door where you spent time on the porch with a friend playing your favorite games.  Do you remember your favorite neighbor's house?  I hope so and have fond memories of enjoying time with a warm and caring family.  May you find your easel friendly.  Pat
